Position Summary

This position is responsible for directing the maintenance operations for all Automated Fare Collection (AFC) equipment (including OMNY) installed throughout the subway system, and at certain out-of-system locations during the evening, nights, and weekend shifts. The incumbent will ensure that all AFC and OMNY equipment in the subway system meets its operational requirements for availability and reliability including prioritizing and managing the performance of service calls, preventive maintenance, software installations, hardware modifications and safety through a maintenance workforce dispatched from multiple field offices systemwide.

• Investigate and resolve Cassie Case complaints, ensuring complete and well-documented closure.
• Monitor and report on maintenance operations each shift, evaluating performance against targets and recommending improvements.
• Implement updated maintenance procedures and oversee employee training to support systemwide operational enhancements.
• Direct support operations during off-hour shifts, ensuring compliance with established safety protocols.

Education and Experience

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Electronics, Electromechanical Engineering, or a satisfactory equivalent, and six (6) years of full-time related experience, of which three (3) years must have been in a managerial/supervisory capacity; or a satisfactory combination of education and experience.

Desired Skills

Final salary is determined experience, skillset, and alignment with compensation practices. The posted range reflects expected compensation and may be updated as market or business needs evolve.
