Responsibilities

The Deputy Sheriff performs law enforcement work to protect lives, property, and rights of citizens of the County.
Work involves performing law enforcement or jail duties in a specific area of assignment.
May serve civil process papers and warrants; patrol the County in official vehicle to deter crime or apprehend violators; transport prisoners.
Enforces all laws of the state and applicable federal laws.
Provides law enforcement services to residents and responds to service requests.
Prepares documentation and reports in a timely manner.
