Responsibilities

• Enforces all state and federal laws.
• Provides law enforcement services to residents and responds to service requests.
• Prepares documentation and reports in a timely manner.
• Regular and punctual attendance is required.
• Serves as a court bailiff for District Court, Criminal Court, or County Court at Law and maintains order.
• Escorts inmates, applies handcuffs and restraints, and notifies Jail officials of changes in inmates' status.
• Places into custody defendants and uses restraining instruments, informing Jail officials of status.
• Provides security for the courthouse and participants.
• Performs other related duties as required.
