Qualifications

• High School graduation or GED.
• Possession of a valid driver's license. Must be able to obtain a State of Texas driver's license within 90 days.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Certification as a Peace Officer in the State of Texas is required.
• Fingerprint-based criminal history and background investigation required; must meet CJIS and TCOLE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Enforces all state and federal laws.
• Provides law enforcement services to residents; responds to service requests.
• Patrols the County and serves civil processes; answers calls and detains violators; transports prisoners as needed.
• Completes documentation and reports in a timely manner.
• Investigates and locates subjects with warrants; executes warrants and records evidence; makes arrests.
