Job summary

Canyon County is seeking an Entry-Level Deputy Sheriff-Detention to supervise inmates and maintain security within the detention facility. The role emphasizes safety, rule adherence, and incident reporting.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, being 18+, and a valid driver’s license. Candidates should be able to pass a background check and fitness exam, and communicate clearly in written and spoken form. Training will be provided.

We have an exciting opening for an Entry-Level Deputy Sheriff-Detention. This role serves a critical function within our organization, being directly responsible for the supervision, security, and control of inmates in our detention facility.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise inmates in living quarters and instruct them in proper housekeeping and sanitation.
• Maintain the security of the facility, ensuring rules, regulations and procedures are adhered to.

Desired Qualifications:
