Job summary

St. Louis County is seeking a Deputy Public Administrator to support the care and management of wards and protectees who cannot handle their financial, medical, or personal affairs.

The role emphasizes ethical judgment, coordination across agencies, and responsive case management in a fast-paced environment. You will file annual status reports, assist with placements and treatments, and conduct asset investigations while maintaining clear communication with families and service providers.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree and two years of related experience.
• Case Management, Social Services, or Social Work experience encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of assigned Wards and Protectees.
• Prepare and file Guardian Annual Status Reports with the Probate Court.
• Provide consent for placement or treatment by phone, email, and fax.
• Perform investigative work related to potential assets of the Protectees’ estates, including securing real and personal property.
• Maintain contact with Wards, Protectees, and their service providers by timely responding to emails, telephone calls, faxes, and all other correspondence.
