Department: Public Administrator Grade: 180 Salary: $24.06/hour

Job Duties

• Coordinate and consent to care for County wards by working with staff members on financial and legal matters, community health workers on medical and mental health issues, state and federal agencies on entitlement questions, and facilities to assure appropriate living arrangements or placement for wards.
• Provide information that potentially affects eligibility for entitlement programs.
• Interact with wards, facilities, care providers and other entities.
• Review, advocate, consent to and monitor treatment plans and care, medication, and hospitalization.
• Provide crisis assistance and conduct annual visits with wards and be on-call some weekends and evenings.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a social behavioral science field.
• One year of prior experience working with adults who have chronic mental illness, drug and alcohol dependent persons, physically, cognitively, or intellectually disabled adults, adults with behavior disorders, and the frail and demented elderly.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Valid Missouri Driver’s License.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
