Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Member of the Missouri Bar Association.
• Five years of experience in probate and general litigation.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Represents the office in hearings seeking appointment of Public Administrator, in contested matters, on claims of creditors, at pre-trial conferences and administrative hearings.
• Handles real estate litigation, notices, liability actions, title determinations, and related legal filings.
• Oversees estate administration from appointment through inventory, settlements and final distribution.
• Assists Guardianship Team on medical/mental health decisions, consents, and contract matters.
• Selects in absence of Public Administrator for major medical decisions and hospice-related choices.
• Serves in the Public Administrator’s absence.
