Ada County is seeking an entry-level Deputy Prosecutor I to provide legal representation to county departments, elected officials, and the Board of Ada County Commissioners. The role involves handling civil litigation, drafting contracts, and providing legal advice with mentorship.

You will work in a team environment in the Prosecutor’s Office, learning to manage cases independently and make critical decisions.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited law school.
• Knowledge of Idaho statutes and case law.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, co-workers and members of other agencies.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality; communicate effectively and persuasively; be a team player; exercise good judgment.

Responsabilités

• Practices civil law in diverse areas including bankruptcy, welfare, civil rights, personal injury, and real estate.
• Drafts contracts and other legal documents; conducts legal research.
• Drafts advice letters and legal opinions for clients; negotiates contracts and real estate documents.
• Prepares ordinances and resolutions; advises HR on personnel matters; drafts findings of fact and conclusions of law.
• Manages cases from inception through appellate stages; interacts professionally with judiciary and clients.
