Seneca Holdings is seeking a Deputy Project Manager to support planning, coordination, monitoring, and delivery of technology and business initiatives in an Agile environment. You will manage cost, schedule, scope, quality, risks, issues, dependencies, and stakeholder communications throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and adept at coordinating technical teams, government personnel, vendors, and leadership while maintaining clear project documentation

Qualifications

  • Experience providing PMO support for technology, data, software, or business projects.
  • Experience tracking scope, schedule, cost, quality, risks, issues, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methods.
  • Experience preparing project plans, schedules, status reports, meeting materials, and exec communications.
  • Experience maintaining RAID logs, action-item trackers, decision logs, and change-control docs.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple workstreams, stakeholders, deliverables, and competing priorities.
  • Experience supporting requirements management, release management, testing, deployment, and implementation activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify risks and issues early and elevate them with practical recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager as central point of contact for coordination and communications.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, roadmaps, staffing and risk plans.
  • Track scope, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, budget, and performance metrics.
  • Support Agile delivery with backlogs, stand-ups, reviews, and burndown tracking.
  • Monitor progress and identify schedule, cost, quality, staffing concerns.
  • Maintain RAID logs, action-item trackers, decision logs, and change logs.
  • Coordinate release management, deployments, and readiness activities.
  • Support security, privacy, compliance, risk assessment, and remediation.

We are seeking a Deputy Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, monitoring, and delivery of technology and business initiatives in an Agile and governed environment.

This role will help manage cost, schedule, scope, quality, risks, issues, dependencies, deliverables, meetings, reporting, and stakeholder communications throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable coordinating technical teams, business stakeholders, government personnel, vendors, and leadership while maintaining accurate project documentation and visibility into project progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Project Manager as a central point of contact for project coordination and communications.
  • Develop, maintain, and update project management plans, schedules, roadmaps, staffing plans, communication plans, risk plans, and quality plans.
  • Track project scope, requirements, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, budget, resource utilization, and performance metrics.
  • Support Agile delivery through product backlogs, sprint backlogs, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and burndown tracking.
  • Monitor day-to-day project progress and proactively identify schedule, cost, quality, staffing, and delivery concerns.
  • Maintain RAID logs, action-item trackers, decision logs, change logs, and dependency registers.
  • Support change control board activities by documenting, assessing, tracking, and communicating change requests.
  • Coordinate release management, deployment activities, patch releases, emergency releases, and implementation-readiness activities.
  • Support security, privacy, compliance, risk assessment, authorization, and remediation activities.
  • Coordinate stage-gate reviews and ensure required documentation, exit criteria, risks, and approvals are complete.
  • Prepare weekly status updates, monthly progress reports, executive briefings, dashboards, and other project communications.
  • Track deliverables, invoices, financial information, performance measures, and contract requirements.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, presentations, minutes, decisions, risks, and action items.
  • Facilitate or support kickoff meetings, demonstrations, technical meetings, status reviews, change control meetings, and closeout meetings.
  • Coordinate across internal teams, government stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and dependent systems.
  • Maintain project records, work products, accomplishments, decisions, and supporting evidence throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the development of standard operating procedures, business analysis documentation, test materials, training materials, and knowledge-transfer artifacts.
  • Prepare final project reports summarizing accomplishments, deliverables, open issues, lessons learned, and future enhancement needs.
  • Support project closeout, transition, operational handoff, and post-implementation activities.
Required Skills and Experience

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Experience supporting federal, healthcare, regulated, or public-sector programs.
  • Familiarity with government project governance and lifecycle frameworks, such as EPLC or comparable stage-gate processes.
  • Experience supporting Authority to Operate activities, security assessments, compliance reviews, or risk remediation.
  • Experience with contract deliverables, invoicing, financial tracking, and performance reporting.
  • PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, CSM, or comparable certification.
  • Experience with enterprise system modernization, cloud migration, data, analytics, or application development projects.
  • Familiarity with change control boards, configuration management, and release governance.
  • Experience supporting user acceptance testing, pilot demonstrations, training, and organizational change management.
  • Experience developing project dashboards, performance metrics, and automated status reporting.
  • Knowledge of federal acquisition, task-order, or contractor management environments.
