Job summary

Piper Companies in Northern Virginia seeks a Deputy Project Leader to join a design-build and systems integration team. The role is on-site and focuses on guiding complex Integrated Infrastructure and telecommunications projects from kickoff through closeout.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage CPM schedules, forecast cash flow and resources, and ensure timely completion with quality documentation including as-built drawings and operation manuals.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of construction experience in Telecommunications & Security Systems.
  • Proficient in CPM scheduling and general contractor schedules.
  • Experience leading diverse teams on telecom scopes with $500K–$10M+ budgets.
  • 2+ years in Federal Aviation, Government Airports, Higher-Education or Information Transit projects preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and deployment of Integrated Infrastructure and telecommunications systems.
  • Coordinate and run PKOM and key monthly project reviews.
  • Forecast cash flow and manpower needs for projects.
  • Ensure timely completion including punch-lists, as-builts, and manuals.

Job description

Piper Companies is looking for aDeputy Project Leaderto join a design-build and systems integration firm based out ofNorthern Virginia. This role requires the candidate to report onsite.

Essential Duties of the DeputyProject Leader:

  • Leading the design and deployment of Integrated Infrastructure and telecommunications systems
  • Coordinating and running a project kick-off meeting (PKOM) and key monthly project (KPR) reviews
  • Forecasting cash flow and manpower needs for projects
  • Assuring a timely completion of a project including the completion of punch-list items, the submittal of accurate as-built drawings, operation, and maintenance manuals

Qualifications of theDeputy Project Leader:

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in construction specific to Telecommunications & Security Systems with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Science, Information Technology, Construction Management, or Engineering discipline
  • Proficiency in the Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling Method and General Contractor Schedules
  • Extensive experience leading diverse teams & projects with construction budgets valued between $500K - $10M+ in Telecommunication Scopes
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience & established knowledge in complex markets on projects specific to Federal Aviation, & Government Airports, Higher-Education, Information Transit Systems is preffered

Compensation for theDeputy Project Leader:

  • $100,000 - $125,000 (based on experience)
