Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions in Manassas, VA is seeking a Deputy Project Leader to support employees on projects, create strategic plans and budgets, and develop comprehensive project plans. This on-site role requires expertise in technology systems integration and does not require initial clearance.

The position involves collaboration with design teams and customers on telecom and security projects with budgets ranging from hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars, and 25% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years with a telecommunications integrator or electrical contractor.
• Experience on telecom and electronic security projects from $500k to $10M.
• 4+ years in Federal Aviation, government airports, higher education, or information transit systems.
• Experience with Information Transport Systems.
• Proficiency with MS Office, CPM scheduling, AutoCAD.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% with valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with supervisors, owners, contractors, and design teams to resolve issues and ensure project execution.
• Understand Telecommunication Systems including Fiber Optic, Structured Cabling, CCTV, DAS, and related cabling.
• Coordinate procurement of materials and track tools, equipment, and resources with teams and warehouse.
• Facilitate day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section.
• Maintain deadlines for decisions, RFIs, and documentation of verbal agreements.
