Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Physical/Electronic Project Manager to join a design services company based in Tysons, VA. This role offers a path toward security clearance, with up to a TS/SCI level.

You will lead security service projects from cradle to grave, manage daily operations, and handle change orders and submittals. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in physical/electronic systems and construction projects up to $10M.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in physical or electronic systems (intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, IT systems, perimeter defense and C2 systems).
• Experience in the engineering/design of such systems.
• Construction project experience from $100,000 to $10M.
• Experience with contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendums, specifications, change orders, RFIs, submittals.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in producing precision technical plans and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Lead security service projects from cradle to grave.
• Run day-to-day operations of a project.
• Identify change orders and ensure effective resolution.
• Price, track and manage change orders.
• Plan and monitor cash flow against cash expenses.
• Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
• Research and compile submittals; pricing change orders and prepare estimates for partially designed projects by finishing the design and preparing a complete project estimate.
