Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Deputy Project Leader to oversee design-build and systems integration onsite in Northern Virginia. You will lead the design and deployment of integrated infrastructure, coordinate PKOM and monthly reviews, and forecast cash flow and manpower needs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in construction related to Telecommunications & Security Systems.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Science, IT, Construction Management, or Engineering discipline.
  • Proficiency with CPM scheduling methods and contractor schedules.
  • Experience leading diverse teams on projects up to multi-million dollars.

Piper Companies is looking for a Deputy Project Leader to join a design-build and systems integration firm based out of Northern Virginia. This role requires the candidate to report onsite.

Essential Duties of the Deputy Project Leader
  • Leading the design and deployment of Integrated Infrastructure and telecommunications systems
  • Coordinating and running a project kick-off meeting (PKOM) and key monthly project (KPR) reviews
  • Forecasting cash flow and manpower needs for projects
  • Assuring a timely completion of a project including the completion of punch-list items, the submittal of accurate as-built drawings, operation, and maintenance manuals
Qualifications of the Deputy Project Leader
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in construction specific to Telecommunications & Security Systems with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Science, Information Technology, Construction Management, or Engineering discipline
  • Proficiency in the Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling Method and General Contractor Schedules
  • Extensive experience leading diverse teams & projects with construction budgets valued between $500K - $10M+ in Telecommunication Scopes
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience & established knowledge in complex markets on projects specific to Federal Aviation, & Government Airports, Higher-Education, Information Transit Systems is preffered
Compensation for the Deputy Project Leader
  • $100,000 - $125,000 (based on experience)
