Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Deputy Project Leader to join a design-build and systems integration firm based in Northern Virginia. The role requires onsite work and will lead the design, deployment, and coordination of complex infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in telecommunications and security systems construction, with CPM scheduling expertise and a strong track record of managing multi-million dollar projects across federal and higher-education sectors.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of construction experience in Telecommunications & Security Systems.
• Proficiency with CPM Scheduling and General Contractor Schedules.
• Experience leading diverse teams and projects with budgets $500K–$10M+.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and deployment of integrated infrastructure and telecom systems.
• Coordinate and run PKOM and monthly project reviews.
• Forecast cash flow and manpower for projects.
• Ensure timely project completion, including punch lists and as-builts.

Essential Duties of the DeputyProject Leader:

• Leading the design and deployment of Integrated Infrastructure and telecommunications systems
• Coordinating and running a project kick-off meeting (PKOM) and key monthly project (KPR) reviews
• Forecasting cash flow and manpower needs for projects
• Assuring a timely completion of a project including the completion of punch-list items, the submittal of accurate as-built drawings, operation, and maintenance manuals

Qualifications of theDeputy Project Leader:

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in construction specific to Telecommunications & Security Systems with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Science, Information Technology, Construction Management, or Engineering discipline
• Proficiency in the Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling Method and General Contractor Schedules
• Extensive experience leading diverse teams & projects with construction budgets valued between $500K - $10M+ in Telecommunication Scopes
• Minimum 2+ years of experience & established knowledge in complex markets on projects specific to Federal Aviation, & Government Airports, Higher-Education, Information Transit Systems is preffered

Compensation for theDeputy Project Leader:

• $100,000 - $125,000 (based on experience)
