Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Deputy Project Leader to join a Northern Virginia design-build and systems integration firm. This onsite role focuses on coordinating telecom and security system projects from design through deployment.

The candidate will lead diverse teams, manage budgets from $500K to $10M+, and ensure timely execution with complete documentation and manuals. Federal aviation and higher-education project experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Science, Information Technology, Construction Management, or Engineering discipline.
• Proficiency in the Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling Method and General Contractor Schedules.
• Extensive experience leading diverse teams & projects with construction budgets valued between $500K - $10M+ in Telecommunication Scopes.
• Minimum 2+ years in complex markets on projects for Federal Aviation, Government Airports, Higher-Education, Information Transit Systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leading design and deployment of Integrated Infrastructure and telecommunications systems.
• Coordinating and running a project kick-off meeting (PKOM) and key monthly project reviews (KPR).
• Forecasting cash flow and manpower needs for projects.
• Ensuring timely completion including punch-lists, as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals.
