Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) is seeking a deputy program manager to support the Director Submarine Program in planning, management, and execution of defense R&D and manufacturing initiatives.

You will engage with client leadership, coordinate with government and industry stakeholders, and help shape program decisions. The role is based onsite in West Bethesda, MD, with some light travel and a focus on delivering results that matter for submarine platform programs and industrial base

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a STEM or business field.
5+ years experience supporting defense manufacturing, Navy shipbuilding, R&D, or other defense programs.
Experience managing projects or programs, including cost, schedule, and risk.
Current DoD security clearance - Secret.
Ability to coordinate across government and industry stakeholders and make actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

Provide deputy program management support, assisting in planning, management, and execution of defense R&D and manufacturing programs.
Coordinate working groups, manage financials and schedules, participate in strategic planning and stakeholder engagement.
Apply systems/engineering knowledge to understand complex components and recommend actions.
Work onsite primarily in West Bethesda, MD with potential light travel.
