Job description

Peraton’s National Programs Business Intelligence Systems & Applications Operating Unit seeks an experienced Software Project Manager (Deputy Program Manager) to support the SITE III DO contract, overseeing the orchestration, sustainment, and evolution of mission‑critical applications and services for the U.S. Intelligence Community. The role requires a multi‑discipline approach to requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability, and analysis across the National apparatus of Defense Intelligence, Combatant Commands, supporting partner nations, and other Federal Agencies.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee multiple software development efforts and O&M of deployed software applications, and participate in all levels of planning for future applications and projects.
  • Coordinate with project leads to gather status, ensure timelines are met, and take proactive corrective actions.
  • Conduct resource planning, interviewing, hiring, and extensive interaction with customer leadership (briefings, presentations, real‑time technical exchange meetings).
  • Create cost estimates based on resource levels and capabilities, and develop detailed technical approaches to customer tasking.
  • Review and oversee the Integrated Management Schedule (IMS) delivered to the customer monthly.
  • Produce the monthly Program Management Review in coordination with the SITE III DO Program Manager, and deliver weekly progress reviews for the customer.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance and Risk Management tasks.
  • Serve as the backup to the Site III DO Program Manager for all customer inquiries, including financial and contractual topics, and maintain a full understanding of contract deliverables and funding at both contract and application levels.
  • Apply problem‑solving, flexibility, and collaboration skills to manage engineering tasks, incorporate feedback, adjust plans, generate consensus among teams, and convey a clear vision.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or information management, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in software development and managing software development teams/projects.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to pass a polygraph.
  • Experience with Agile development, AWS architecture and hosting, general knowledge of database design, web services, and UI design.
  • Experience planning, scheduling and tracking software development.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Proven expertise in PowerPoint, Excel and MS Project.
  • Ability to multitask across multiple efforts.
  • Past experience managing program cost and funding.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, Agile environment.
  • Full‑time work in a SCIF is required (hours are flexible).
Desired Qualifications
  • PMP certification.
  • Security+ certification.
  • Certified Scrum Master.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. Salary is determined by various factors, including scope and responsibilities, experience, education, skills, competencies, geographic location, and business and contract considerations. Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
