Aotearoa Infinite Academy, New Zealand's first online charter school, is expanding its senior leadership team with a Deputy Principal role focused on digital citizenship, online safety, and child protection. You'll lead safeguarding, privacy, and the use of AI in education while supporting Year 9 transition and online learning platforms.

Qualifications

Registered teacher with full practising certificate and leadership experience in pastoral care, digital learning or safeguarding.
Knowledge of AI in education, online harm and digital wellbeing, and ability to explain these to students, staff and whānau.
Training in child protection and handling confidential matters.

Responsibilities

Lead digital citizenship and AI-use guidelines and acceptable use agreements.
Be child-protection lead, manage disclosures, procedures and staff training.
Respond to online incidents, cyberbullying, and liaise with partners; use data to reduce issues.
Vet platforms to ensure Privacy Act compliance with IT.
Oversee safe student use of LMS and learning platforms from safeguarding perspective.
Run online safety sessions for whānau and staff.
Lead Year 9 pastoral transition and attendance strategies.
