Job summary

Welch's in North East, Pennsylvania seeks a proven manufacturing leader to serve as second-in-command to the Plant Director. This on-site, hands-on role will oversee production, processing, packaging, distribution, and production planning, shaping how the facility operates today and evolves for the future.

You will translate our manufacturing strategy into daily execution, drive safety, quality, service, productivity and cost improvements, and develop the next generation of plant leaders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership in food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods manufacturing.
• Experience leading multiple operational functions (production, packaging, planning, distribution).
• Strong working knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience managing operational budgets, productivity metrics, and KPIs.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant leadership team and set priorities to improve facility performance.
• Oversee production, processing, packaging, distribution, and planning.
• Drive safety, quality, service, productivity, and cost targets.
• Champion Lean and continuous improvement across the plant.
• Develop future plant leaders through coaching and succession planning.
