Job summary

Serco Inc. in Arlington, VA seeks a Deputy Engineering Project Lead to influence and shape the delivery of amphibious ships and related assets for the U.S. Navy.

You will lead the technical team, track changes in the CCD process, support TPS and budget exhibits, and coordinate with Navy test and evaluation activities. You will work closely with Government and maritime industry professionals to ensure mission objectives are met at the best value, while advancing engineering, production, and test

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • US Citizenship.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in an Engineering discipline.
  • 4 years of similar/related/relevant experience.
  • Strong communication and program management skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% for work purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical team’s change tracking and development of work productions for the Craft Change Document (CCD) process.
  • Assist the task lead with managing the customer’s business plan, TPS management, POM issue briefs, and budget exhibit updates.
  • Become familiar with SSC, LCAC, LCU, and LSM HM&E and C4N systems and provide technical recommendations.
  • Familiarize with Navy test & evaluation processes, including DT/OT/IT, IOT&E and FOT&E.
  • Provide assessment, analysis, and recommendations for various test events.
  • Identify cost impacts/savings for technical proposals and end-user impact.
  • Develop online databases, status updates, and metrics.
  • Participate in program reviews and design reviews.
  • Provide program management and technical support to Navy Amphibious Assault and Connectors programs.
