Job summary

Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a Deputy Lead Software Engineer to support lead engineers in coordinating agile software development for SSR programs. You will work with hardware, software, subsystems, and systems engineering teams to drive architecture, design, coding, and testing efforts.

The role emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement of software processes, and providing status updates to leadership, with focus on delivering robust real-time radar software

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating and leading software development within Agile environments.
• Ability to translate requirements into robust architectures and designs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the planning, organization, integration, and completion of software development projects.
• Coordinating activities concerned with technical development and resolving engineering design and test problems for specific SSR program(s).
• Identifying and facilitating the resolution of SW development blockers.
• Assisting in the development and ownership of software processes and future SW strategy.
• Leveraging proven processes, lessons learned, and best practices from other parts of business or industry.
• Reviewing program estimates and facilitating the collection of regular metrics to inform SW progress and serve as historical basis for future work.
• Supporting overall Agile development process through the planning and execution of Cycle Planning, Cycle Review, Retrospectives, and continuous monitoring throughout the development.
• Providing SW status and plans to program leadership and supporting program level meetings, presentations, and reviews.
