Job summary

Fermilab seeks a Deputy Laboratory Director for Operations and Chief Operating Officer to drive performance across facilities, HR, finance, information systems and strategic partnerships. Reporting to the Lab Director, you will set expectations, monitor results, and coordinate with senior leadership to achieve Lab goals.

This onsite leadership role requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and the ability to obtain a DOE Q security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred for higher leadership scope.
• Experience in large facility planning in a government contractor environment.
• Clearable for a DOE Q security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Human Resources, Facilities Engineering & Site Services, Campus Strategy & Readiness, and Finance/Procurement.
• Leads information systems and strategic partnerships to improve operations.
• Directs budgeting, policy, risk management and performance across the Lab.
