Job summary

OKX is seeking a commercially minded Deputy General Counsel to lead the Strategic Partnerships & Institutions practice. Based across our New York and US offices, you will advise on strategic alliances, joint ventures, and cross‑border transactions while supporting institutional and trading businesses.

You will draft and negotiate high‑stakes commercial agreements, guide regulatory considerations, and translate complex legal issues into actionable guidance for product and business teams.

Qualifications

• Must hold a law degree and be eligible to practice as an advocate.
• 10+ years' experience at a law firm, digital assets firm, or top financial institution.
• Proven track record in strategic partnerships including cooperation agreements and incentive agreements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as attorney on strategic partnerships and trading arrangements, including alliances and cooperation agreements.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage high-stakes commercial agreements, joint ventures, and technology alliances.
• Advise on cross-border transactions, crypto product structuring, and multi-jurisdictional regulatory compliance.
• Act as a key legal advisor within the global strategic partnerships team for partnerships, trading, and P2P platforms.
• Translate complex legal issues into clear, commercially actionable guidance for product, engineering, and executives.
• Collaborate with product development and business development to align new offerings with regulatory requirements.
• Address additional matters as advised by legal team leaders.
