City of Cheyenne seeks a Planning and Development Deputy Director to lead urban renewal efforts, manage tax increment financing, and guide long-range planning initiatives. You will draft development agreements and coordinate with the City Treasurer’s Office and other agencies.

The role requires strong policy development, budget support, and public outreach, with representation at meetings and hearings as assigned.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, public administration, finance, architecture, community development, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred; AICP certification desired.
• Experience drafting development agreements or administering tax increment financing.

Mansioni

• Lead Urban Renewal Authority staff duties and tax increment financing oversight.
• Draft and manage development agreements through review bodies.
• Guide long-range planning updates and the Comprehensive Plan.
• Coordinate public outreach and project tracking.
• Represent the Department at meetings and hearings.
