Job summary

Office of the Illinois State Treasurer seeks a Deputy Director of Unclaimed Property Outreach to lead statewide outreach initiatives and partnerships. You will oversee a CRM tailored to outreach activities, manage the Legislative Partnership Program, and guide data-matching efforts while coordinating with the Marketing and Scheduling Divisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Communications, Public Administration, or related field required.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Three or more years in customer relations or constituent outreach.
• Four or more years of management experience.
• Equivalent education and experience acceptable.
• Experience supervising a large staff.
• Familiar with the Revised Uniform Unclaimed Property Act.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive outreach plan to raise awareness of the Unclaimed Property Program.
• Collaborate with Legislative and Scheduling Divisions to educate officials and the public about unclaimed property.
• Serve as main contact for unclaimed property outreach initiatives.
• Interview and train staff; manage performance and provide feedback.
• Handle customer service and PR issues not resolved through standard channels.
• Update and maintain outreach policies and procedures.
