Western Illinois University is seeking a Deputy Director to support the Illinois Institute for Rural Affairs (IIRA) in daily management and research across multiple topics. You will supervise financial accounts, grant budgets and reporting, and coordinate MIS updates, HR, marketing and events.

The role serves as a liaison to university departments and state offices, with a focus on strategic funding and program management on the Macomb campus.

Qualifications

• Eleven (11) years of progressively responsible management work experience in a private or governmental organization.
• Eight (8) years in event planning, community engagement, budgeting and grant management.
• Three (3) years supervising the work of a professional staff or process in event planning, community engagement, budgeting and grant management.

Responsabilités

• Assist the IIRA Director in daily management and perform delegated research.
• Supervise all IIRA financial accounts and grant reporting.
• Coordinate budgeting, grant requirements, reporting, and MIS updates.
• Manage IIRA operations, HR, marketing, publications and events.
