Northern Plains Resource Council seeks a Deputy Director of Organizing to help lead a statewide grassroots program in Montana. Working closely with the Director of Organizing, this role mentors organizers, shapes strategy, and develops the leadership and agency of everyday Montanans to build the collective power needed to create lasting change.

This is an in-person position based in Billings with flexible working arrangements.

Qualificações

• Experience in grassroots organizing and base-building.
• Proven leadership development and campaign execution.
• Strong people management and coaching skills.
• Strategic thinker connecting goals to day-to-day work.
• Effective communication across diverse relationships.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsabilidades

• Lead statewide grassroots organizing strategy grounded in power-building.
• Supervise and develop three or more organizers.
• Align daily work with long-term strategic goals.
• Lead local or statewide base campaigns and develop leaders.
• Build relationships with members and community stakeholders across Montana.
• Conduct one-on-one meetings to empower leadership.
• Apply power analysis to guide campaigns and direction.
• Ensure work complies with policies and legal requirements.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable team culture.
