BurnBot, Inc. seeks a Deputy Director of Fire Programs to lead the Fire Program from concept to national deployment, working with the Director of Fire Programs.

The role balances administration with field engagement, largely outdoors and across multiple sites, requiring leadership in high-risk environments and strong program development skills. The position is exempt, full-time, with a salary range of $157,000 to $180,000 per year, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of wildland fire experience in federal, state, local, or private contexts.
• Experience in wildfire suppression operations and prescribed fire planning and execution.
• Proven ability to build and scale operational programs from the ground up.
• Experience leading teams in complex, high-risk, time-sensitive environments.
• NWCG qualifications required (RXB2/1; TFLD/ICT3 preferred).
• Valid driver's license and ability to be insured under company policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist oversight of BurnBot's integrated Fire Program for response and prescribed fire.
• Align fire operations with acreage, revenue, and readiness targets.
• Develop Fire Program SOPs and playbooks.
• Recruit, develop, and lead Fire Operations Specialists and crews.
• Plan revenue targets, cost structures, and deployment economics.
• Operate BurnBot dispatch and mobilization system across lifecycle.
• Eliminate operational failures and miscommunications.
• Build regional readiness models for personnel and logistics.
• Define and implement BurnBot's UAS program within fire ops.
• Integrate tech solutions across intelligence, ignition, and monitoring.
