Job summary

BurnBot, Inc. is seeking a Fire Operations Specialist to provide middle leadership oversight of Fire Modules and field-based project execution.

The role blends administrative responsibilities with on-site supervision, and may be based in Placerville, CA, Medford, OR, or South San Francisco, CA HQ. The FOS will recruit and retain modules, coordinate mobilizations, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and act as project manager/POC on field projects while maintaining strong client

Qualifications

• 5+ years in forestry, fuels mitigation, or wildland fire operations.
• NWCG ENGB, CRWB, RXB3 or higher certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively.
• Experience supervising fire crews and coordinating field operations.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Directly oversee and support Fire Modules across multiple crews and sites.
• Ensure safety, quality, productivity, and professionalism per standards.
• Provide guidance and corrective action to Fire Module leadership.
• Maintain safety performance oversight across operations.
• Own operational reporting (Production, Safety, Equipment, Labor, Budget).
• Coordinate field mobilizations and long-range planning.
