MDH Maryland Physicians Board seeks a Deputy Director to lead licensure, allied health, fiscal, policy, regulatory, HR, communications, training and customer service functions. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role provides executive leadership, directs multi‑disciplinary teams, and ensures operational effectiveness and adherence to Board policies and objectives.

The position requires a strong background in health services, strategic planning, staff development and policy

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in management or financial field from an accredited college
• Six years of professional health or human services experience
• Three years supervisory or managerial experience
• Experience directing regulatory, policy, licensure, compliance, or enforcement programs related to public health or health occupations
• Knowledge of Health Occupations Board statutes and regulations

Deputy Director of the Maryland Board of Physicians, reporting to the Executive Director with responsibility for leadership and supervision of the Board's licensure, allied health, fiscal, policy, regulatory, human resources, communication, training, and customer service functions. This full-performance executive-level position ensures operational effectiveness and consistency with Board policies and objectives.

Key qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in management or financial field from accredited college or university
• Six years of professional health or human services experience, including three years in supervisory or managerial role
• Experience directing regulatory, policy, licensure, compliance, or enforcement programs related to public health or health occupations
• Knowledge of Health Occupations Board statutes and regulations
• Experience supervising and managing staff and leading multi-tier teams
• Strong written and verbal presentation skills
