What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure timely and accurate maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, including bank and investment accounts, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
- Prepare journal entries and analyze accounts for irregularities
- Generate invoices for various grants and contracts and submit them to funders for reimbursements
- Recommend updates or revisions to policies and procedures to enhance efficiencies
- Supervise the work of the Manager, Senior Accountant, and Data Entry Specialists

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- 5-7 years of accounting experience, ideally in a nonprofit organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and accounting/database software
- Excellent analytical skills and strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds at various levels

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Public accounting experience
- CPA certification
- Experience with Sage Intacct and iMIS
