Cache County is seeking a Deputy County Attorney I–IV to join the Attorney's Office. Under the County Attorney, you will prosecute felonies and misdemeanors, review investigations, and prepare legal documents for court proceedings.

The role reports to the County Attorney, with supervision provided to Legal Assistants and potential oversight of junior attorneys. The position offers benefits and opportunities across four experience grades.

Qualificações

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the State of Utah.
• Attorney I requires no experience; Attorney II requires 1–2 years; Attorney III 3–5 years; Attorney IV 6–8 years of attorney experience.

Responsabilidades

• Prosecuting felonies and misdemeanors in district, justice, and juvenile courts.
• Reviewing law enforcement investigations to screen for charges and determine case nature.
• Performing legal research, drafting pleadings, and preparing writs, subpoenas, warrants, and other documents.
• Representing the State at arraignments, hearings, trials, and settlements.
• Interviewing victims, witnesses, and law enforcement for evidence preparation.
• Submitting reports on case status and coordinating with support staff.
• Providing general information to the public regarding law, rights, and remedies.
