Denton County is seeking a Deputy Constable to perform specialized law enforcement duties and clerical work serving civil papers, including warrants, summons, writs, restraining orders, and related documents. The role includes maintaining records and reports and handling court-related duties as assigned by the Constable.
The Deputy Constable will also fulfill Bailiff duties in the Justice of the Peace Court, perform seizures and evictions, patrol the county, respond to routine and emergency
The Deputy Constable performs specialized law enforcement duties and clerical work serving civil papers. Work involves, but not limited to serving criminal and civil process, such as warrants, summons, writs, restraining orders, etc. The Deputy Constable will also be responsible for maintaining records, reports and other duties as may be assigned and/or required by the Constable. Additionally, the Deputy Constable will perform Bailiff duties in the Justice of the Peace Court and perform other general law enforcement work within Denton County.

Denton County employees who have been employed for one year and who have worked 1250 hours in the preceding year may be eligible for up to twelve weeks of FMLA leave.
