King and Queen County is seeking qualified candidates for the Deputy Commissioner position at the Commissioner of Revenue’s Office in Virginia. The role involves assisting taxpayers with personal property, real estate, and business licenses, reviewing state income tax returns, and handling inquiries in person and by phone.

The position emphasizes accurate data handling, confidentiality, and clerical/administrative duties under supervision.

Qualificações

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and some prior experience in a related field.
• Must have experience in customer service and the use of a computer and related software.
• Knowledge of the Bright Software system and Excel is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assistance with assessment of personal property, real estate taxes and business licenses.
• Maintaining personal property records and DMV records once downloaded.
• Review state income tax returns and estimated payments; respond to citizen questions.
• Answer calls from citizens, provide information and handle concerns.
• Maintain real estate records for assessment and taxation; perform general office tasks.
