  • Assisting with Municipal Court administrative functions and serving as backup to the Court Clerk.
  • Maintaining confidential records and ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and timely follow-through.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where their work makes a meaningful difference.

  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience in municipal government, public administration, executive administrative support, records management, legal support, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage multiple projects independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare, review, and edit professional correspondence and official documents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software used for scheduling, document management, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with elected officials, Town leadership, coworkers, and the public.
  • Sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and the ability to make decisions with limited supervision.
  • Willingness to learn municipal procedures, regulations, records management requirements, and government operations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Notary Public certification.

The ideal candidate is proactive, approachable, curious, and comfortable balancing independent work with collaboration. Occasional attendance at meetings or Town events outside regular business hours may be required.
