Qualifications

• Education: Equivalent to a master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public or business management, public or business administration, or a related degree or equivalent.
• Experience: A minimum of nine years increasingly responsible managerial experience.
• Licenses/Certifications/Special Requirements: Valid Arizona Driver’s License upon hire.
• ICMA Credentialed Manager (ICMA-CM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee City Manager departments: Finance & Budget, Human Resources, Information Technology, Office of Communications, Office of Innovation.
• Provide leadership for organizational transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Guide centralized corporate functions and drive implementation of major initiatives.
• Build credibility and strong relationships across the organization and with external partners.

The ideal candidate will be financially astute and comfortable evaluating the financial and operational impacts of executive-level decisions.
