Job summary

Baltimore City is seeking a Deputy Chief Information Officer (Technology) to lead BCIT's enterprise technology strategy across applications, security, infrastructure, public safety, and digital services. Reporting to the CIO, you will drive architecture, governance, and modernization while aligning initiatives with city priorities.

You will oversee budgets, vendor governance, succession planning, and risk management, ensuring reliable, secure systems for city operations and resident services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's strongly preferred.
• Experience leading multiple technology divisions at senior executive level.
• Strong budgets, procurement controls, and vendor governance experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide unified executive leadership across BCIT divisions (Applications, Security, Infrastructure, Public Safety, Digital Services).
• Develop and enforce enterprise architecture standards and governance frameworks.
• Oversee budgets, capital planning, procurement, and vendor management; drive modernization and resilience.
