Job summary

University of Central Florida (UCF) IT is seeking an Associate Vice President and Deputy CIO to serve as second-in-command to the CIO. The role leads university-wide IT governance, policy enforcement, and strategic oversight of ERP systems and core administrative platforms, including Workday and PeopleSoft.

You will guide AI initiatives, ensure data integrity, and align technology investments with UCF’s mission.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years of leadership experience; or high school diploma (or equivalent) and 14 years of relevant work experience with 5+ years of leadership experience.
Graduate degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field is highly desired.
Experience in higher education, particularly at an R1 institution, or in public sector/hybrid cloud environments. Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications.

Responsibilities

Assist the CIO with IT governance across the university, developing and championing the framework for technology decision-making and resource allocation.
Assist the CIO with the development, communication, and enforcement of IT policies and standards for security, compliance, interoperability, and efficiency.
