Job summary

Coconino County is seeking an experienced Deputy Chief Information Officer to help shape the County's technology vision and strategy. Reporting to the CIO, the Deputy CIO leads AI initiatives, digital transformation, cloud services, and infrastructure modernization for 1,900+ employees across 35+ departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field and four years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise information technology.
• Master's degree in IT, CS, MBA/MPA, or related field strongly preferred.
• Three years of senior leadership or executive management experience in overseeing multiple technology disciplines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with CIO to develop and oversee IT operating and capital budgets and technology lifecycle planning.
• Advance AI, automation, enterprise apps, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Oversee enterprise cloud services, datacenter ops, telecommunications, and infrastructure modernization.
