Job summary

Department of Veterans Affairs Imaging Service seeks a physician to provide expertise in Diagnostic Radiology and direct patient care. You will oversee exam requests for quality and safety, prescribe protocols, interpret imaging studies, and communicate results to clinical teams.

The role involves coordinating patient care, participating in conferences, teaching trainees, and supporting research activities as feasible. Monday–Friday 8:00AM–4:30PM with comprehensive VA benefits.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an approved school.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise and support in Diagnostic Radiology and patient care.
• Oversee quality and safety by reviewing exam requests for appropriateness.
• Prescribe protocols and modify for specific clinical indications.
• Interpret imaging exams and generate diagnostic reports with findings and impressions.
• Support and coordinate patient care with timely reports and clinician communication.
• Participate in tumor boards and other clinical conferences.
• Support academic affiliations and teaching programs.
• Pursue research opportunities as feasible.
