Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required, Master’s preferred.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of I.T. experience, with three (3) years supervisory experience or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and management style that motivates others and creates a collaborative work environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Provide vision, leadership, guidance, and oversight for campus technology and infrastructure to achieve high levels of system availability, usability, security, and customer service.
- Provide oversight of the technology infrastructure including User Support, Help Desk Services, Telecommunications and Networking, System Services, and core application services such as email, content management systems, and video services. Paramount to these are the administrative hardware and networking services that support the Ellucian Banner suite of administrative ERP applications.
- Identify and propose new technologies and systems to improve end user experiences.
- Present reports on the university's technology status, goals, and progress.
- Establish metrics and assessments for strategic planning for managing effectiveness and for measuring impact.
- Develop and maintain an appropriate organizational structure that supports the needs of the institution.
- Maintain an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
- Identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in technology.
- Oversee an effective computer and network security plan for the campus.
- Develop policies and procedures surrounding technology infrastructure and user access.
- Develop, track, and control an annual operating budget.
- Supervise staff in accordance with university personnel policies.
- Communicate proposed strategies via regular written and in-person communications with the organization's executives, department heads, and end users.
- Ensure continuous delivery of services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of system performance.
- Define and communicate University plans, policies, and standards for acquiring, implementing, and improving technology.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
