Job summary

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• English language proficiency required.
• Healthcare Engineer candidates must be proficient in English per 38 U.S.C.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or Architecture.
• Curriculum from ABET-accredited program or NCEES credentials acceptable.
• Possible paths include PE licensure or registration as Professional Engineer/Architect.
• Grandfathering provision may apply for current VA employees in this occupation.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and administrative oversight for Engineering programs including Maintenance, Utility Plant Operations, and Energy Management.
• Manage capital asset programs and construction projects across the Medical Center and affiliates.
• Coordinate policies, budgeting, staffing, and program planning for Engineering services.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission Environment of Care, Safety, and Medical Equipment Management requirements.
