Job summary

California State University, Chico seeks a Deputy Athletic Director for Compliance and Student Engagement to lead the department’s NCAA compliance program and student-athlete initiatives. The role includes supervision of key areas, serving as sport administrator for designated programs, and acting as Deputy Title IX Coordinator within the Athletics senior leadership team.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least five years of intercollegiate athletics

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; five years of related intercollegiate athletics experience.
• Significant NCAA compliance experience and supervisory capability.
• Experience interpreting NCAA rules, conference regulations, and policies.
• Experience developing and monitoring compliance systems and procedures.
• Proven leadership of professional staff and complex functions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee compliance program and student-athlete engagement initiatives.
• Supervise Student-Athlete Success and External Operations.
• Serve as sport administrator for designated programs.
• Act as Deputy Title IX Coordinator and contribute to the Athletics leadership team.
