Job summary

San Diego State University is seeking a Compliance Coordinator to support the Athletics Compliance Office with NCAA rules education, interpretation, and monitoring across multiple sports. This role collaborates with coaches, staff, and student-athletes to ensure adherence to NCAA, conference, and CSU policies.

The position oversees playing seasons, recruiting coordination, and outside competition activities, with opportunities to develop expertise in LSDBi, RSRO, and institutional monitoring.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Relevant education and/or experience may substitute for the required education.
• At least 6 months experience in a Division I NCAA compliance office.
• Basic knowledge of NCAA, conference, and SDSU rules, especially recruiting.
• Experience with NCAA’s LSDBi and RSRO systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support compliance monitoring activities related to NCAA Bylaws 16 and 17.
• Support recruiting compliance by reviewing visit documentation and activities.
• Assist with education materials, presentations, and calendars.
• Maintain databases, research rules, and assist with interpretations and waivers.
• Serve as a liaison for assigned sports and collaborate across offices.
