Job summary

General Logistics Systems US is seeking a Depot Manager to oversee all aspects of depot operations, including inbound/outbound flow, supervision of the AM and PM shifts, and cross-functional coordination with HR, Accounting, and Corporate Services.

The role requires strong leadership, adherence to labor and safety standards, and the ability to drive performance in a fast-paced warehouse environment on the West Coast.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in depot/facility management in transportation.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and industry-related systems.
• Ability to read, interpret and analyze numerical and written data.
• Prior transportation and delivery service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage depot operating structure to support AM/PM supervisors and staff.
• Supervise, coach, and discipline staff as needed.
• Verify prior day delivery operations and reconcile daily/weekly data.
• Audit settlements, hours, and labor allocations for accuracy.
• Oversee required reporting functions at the Depot.
• Ensure dispatch operations meet service times and handle escalations.
• Delegate tasks and monitor performance for on-time completion.
• Perform duties as directed by Regional Director and management.
