Job summary

Depot Configuration Specialist at DMI in Buffalo Grove, IL, will configure mobile devices, laptops, and desktops to customer specifications, install components, and ensure deployment readiness. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform provisioning, testing, tagging, and troubleshooting, while maintaining accurate records and supporting ad hoc configuration projects. This is a hands-on, on-site position with regular hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent work experience.
• Must have working knowledge and experience using smartphones and/or tablets.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Multitasking skills and ability to keep up in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to utilize critical thinking to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Configure mobile devices, laptops, and desktops per customer requirements and deployment standards.
• Install SIM cards, batteries, accessories, and other components for deployments.
• Perform device provisioning, software installation, enrollment, and configuration for deployment readiness.
• Conduct quality assurance testing to verify devices meet specifications.
• Apply asset tags and validate device and inventory information.
• Troubleshoot configuration issues and prepare devices for shipment and deployment.
• Maintain productivity and quality while processing daily configuration workloads.
• Support special projects and other configuration-related assignments as needed.

About the Opportunity

Digital Management, Inc. (DMI) is seeking a Depot Configuration Specialist to support our Depot team. We are the leading provider of mobile enterprise solutions and services and our commitment to excellence in service delivery has resulted in dramatic growth and an expanding client base that includes hundreds of Fortune 1000 commercial companies. The Depot Configuration Specialist will be a critical member of our team and ensure that the day-to-day shipping operations in our office run efficiently. The ideal candidate will have an interest in shipping and logistics and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Configure mobile devices, laptops, and desktop computers according to customer-specific requirements and deployment standards.
• Install SIM cards, batteries, accessories, and other device components as required for customer deployments
• Perform device provisioning, software installation, enrollment, and configuration activities to ensure devices are deployment-ready.
• Conduct quality assurance testing to verify devices meet customer specifications and operational requirements.
• Apply asset tags and validate device and inventory information to maintain accurate records.
• Troubleshoot configuration issues and ensure devices are properly prepared for shipment and deployment.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards while processing daily device configuration workloads.
