Job summary

Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) is seeking an ACH Research Clerk to log, track and process research requests and verify customer accounts for various agencies. You will maintain daily/monthly logs and support branch staff with research status and documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; an Associate degree preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Proficient reading, writing, grammar and mathematics.
• Strong computer skills with Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Detail oriented with good organizational and data entry skills.
• At least one year of office experience in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Log and track all research requests and maintain spreadsheets.
• Assist in processing research requests and verify customer accounts for agencies.
• Provide branch staff with research status and monthly breakdowns.
• Process requests for photocopies, statements, and financial documents.
• Record completed research and distribute to staff.
• Serve as backup for the ACH Research Clerk.
• Handle monetary adjustments via GL tickets and Fed documentation.
• Verify customer balances with agencies such as Social Security, Housing and references.
