Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking a Deposits Operations Specialist in Cincinnati, OH to perform critical support functions for check adjustments, returns, and exceptions. The role requires a high school diploma, 2 years of bank ops experience, and strong PC and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of bank operations or relevant work experience.
• One year of work experience in a position requiring accounting or bookkeeping knowledge.
• Data entry skills preferred.
• Familiarity with basic PC functions (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Customer focus and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain organized case files.

Responsibilities

• Post financial entries to clear deposit system rejects daily.
• Research and resolve outstanding items on the UDS suspense account.
• Balance General Ledger accounts daily for accurate processing.
• Resolve exception items and identify correct accounts for non-post items.
• Execute monetary adjustments and charge/credit tickets as needed.
• Prepare and distribute Holds Report across the network.
• Respond to requests from management, customers and other banks within SLAs.
• Provide support to retail division for relevant products/processes.
