Job summary

Security First Bank is seeking a detail-oriented Deposit Operations Specialist to support retail banking operations across the organization. The role provides operational support for deposit products, maintains accounts, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives efficient banking processes.

The candidate should have a bachelor's degree in business, accounting, information technology, or a related field, and two or more years of banking or deposit operations experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for deposit products and services, including deposit accounts and time deposits.
• Assist with new account reviews, customer record maintenance, and compliance documentation.
• Support cash balancing, teller assistance, and operational issue resolution.
• Process non-post items and other deposit operations tasks while maintaining accuracy and records.
• Support process improvements and staff training related to deposits and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for retail banking products and services, including deposit accounts, debit cards, IRA/HSA accounts, and time deposits.


• Support new account reviews, customer record maintenance, account changes, and compliance-related documentation.


• Assist with cash balancing, teller support, outage research, and operational issue resolution.


• Process non-post items, savings bonds, and other deposit operations functions while maintaining accurate records.


• Support process improvements, staff training, compliance initiatives, and Video Teller operations as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, information technology, or a related field preferred.


• Two or more years of banking, deposit operations, or retail banking experience preferred.


• Knowledge of deposit products, banking operations, and regulatory requirements.


• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality.
